Grossie's Vertical Tasting Photo Gallery

A big thank you to Grossie for hosting an absolutely fabulous event. You and your wife did a first class job on putting this party together. You opened your home up and made everyone feel welcome. Everything was great.

There were an additional 10 or so bottles opened during the event as well. I will post my notes on these verticals and the other wines I tried in seperate threads.

The big event was the whiffle ball grudge match between R2 "trashtalk" D2 and Otis "downtown abdul which took place in the alley behind Grossies Chicago home. Can you say moonshot. As R2D2 said, it did not take long for Otis to launch one and settle the great whiffle ball debate in front of most of the board members and their spouses. Once the main event was over, the game continued and featured Pyang with an underhand "Dan Quisenberrylike" delivery. The most impressive performance though belongs to Scott McDonald who must be a retired professional whiffleballer. This boy can pitch. When he throws it, the ball starts out 5 feet to the 3rd base side of the plate, starts curving right at your head and then dips right across the middle of the plate. He had Grossie diving into the garbage cans next to the plate while Otis swatted at the ball like he was shooing flies.

Simply a blast and as usual it is all about the people.
