2001 Sea Smoke Botella Pinot Noir

R2-D2 - "The color was purple with spice box and immense dark fruits on the nose. Amplified and echoing finish of spices, acidity, and deep brambly dark fruits that was exceedingly delightful. I heard someone compare the palate to an excellent Burgundy, but also regard it as so un-Burgundy-like ... if that makes any sense. An extraordinarly well crafted debut wine. Bravo! 92/93"

Otis - "From the first sniff, you know this wine is going to be delicious. Fresh and gorgeous bouquet of cherries, spring flowers, and cinnamon. The palate is all about cherries: black cherries, maraschino cherries, bing cherries. Silky and seductive, this is a terrific "drink me now" California pinot at a sweet price for this varietal. 93P."

Blue Oval - "Vanilla nose. Cherries across the palate. What I like about this wine is the balance and fresh acidity. The wine danced across my tongue. My second fav. of the evening with friends. Unfortunately, I was added to the mailing list after this was sold out. Score = 92."

Vino Me - "This was a plush, typically Californian Pinot Noir. Crushed grape skins on the nose. Round, fruity cherry, red berry and currant notes. Full bodied style with a nice full mouth feel and long finish. 91-92 points."
